2000 Ford Expedition

One notable feature of the Expedition series is its extreme size, but the size
is leveled off by the smooth contours of the body. This is design with practicality
in mind, for the shape is more for utility than style since the contours lessen
air resistance and wind noise. As in earlier models, the 2000 Ford Expedition
has two trims, the Ford Expedition XLT and the Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. Both
are available in 2 wheel-drive and 4 wheel-drive.
The standard engine is a 4.6 liter 215hp V8, with an optional 5.4 liter 260hp
V8. The Expedition’s interior also speaks of luxuriant softness as soft to the
touch paneling are applied to switches and door panels. The seats are upholstered
in well-chosen leathers and fabrics. The control panels have also been given much
attention by Ford’s engineers as they have emphasized the easy access of the control
panels and instrument. For the Eddie Bauer trim, it comes with an overhead console
with a digital display that provides compass headings, date and time and average
fuel economy; a switch operates power swing-out rear quarter windows.
