2001 Ford Expedition
Ford offers two trims for the 2001 Expedition, the Expedition XLT and the Expedition
Eddie Bauer. Both models include standard features such as antilock brakes, third-row
seating, and remote keyless entry. Physical differences between XLT and Eddie
Bauer versions are almost indecipherable because they only differ in paint and
trim. Both are available in two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. But for people
who want top of the line cars, the Eddie Bauer is it.

The Eddie Bauer 4x4 model brings a larger, more powerful 5.4-liter V8 that produces
260 horsepower. Add to that the leather-wrapped steering wheel, which gives better
grip to the driver, a power moonroof, an entertainment system which beats most
entertainment systems offered by other car companies with its 290-watt Mach AM/FM
cassette audio system, a 6-CD changer.
The Expedition uses the same chassis and mechanical hardware as the Ford' F-150
pickup. Aside from that the Expedition series also borrows the burly physique
of the F150. But for people who belong to big families, the Expedition is more
practical because of its extended seating capacity of 9 up to passengers. Inside
the Expedition is a dream cockpit, the curved dashboard displays instruments at
an easy glance. The Eddie Bauer trim comes with an overhead console with a digital
display that provides compass headings, date and time and average fuel economy
