2005 Ford Expedition
The 2005 Ford Expedition is the largest SUV the Ford Company has to offer. This
model comes in three trims: the basic Expedition, the Expedition XLT and the Expedition
Eddie Bauer. The basic Expedition is fitted with a 4.6-liter, SOHC V-8 that delivers
232 horsepower at 4,750 rpm, 291 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,450 rpm, and the
capacity to tow up to 6,050 pounds. The XLT and the Eddie Bauer trims has a 5.4-liter,
SOHC V-8 that delivers 260 horsepower at 4,500 rpm, 350 pounds-per-foot of torque
at 2,500 rpm, and the capacity to tow up to 8,900 pounds.
All Expedition models feature sequential multi-port electronic fuel injection,
four-speed automatic transmissions, coil spring suspension, power anti-lock disc
brakes, and available four-wheel drive. Looking at the outside you will see 17x7.5
alloy rims, P265/70R17 all season tires, underbody mounted spare tire, variable
intermittent wipers, privacy glass, rear window defogger, roof rack, intermittent
rear wiper, power opening rear quarter windows and flip-up lift gate window.
For you and your passengers’ safety, Ford has equipped this humongous beast with
a front and rear ventilated disc brakes, 4-wheel ABS, rear door child safety locks,
child seat anchors, lap belts, headrests for each row, remote anti-theft alarm
system, engine immobilizer, dusk sensing head lamps, front fog lights and rear
parking sensors. Inside, the Expedition offers second row 40/20/40 split-folding
seats, third-row 60/40 split-folding seats. All in all, these features make the
