Ford Expedition Recall

The Ford Company recalled all 1997
Expedition SUVs because of a company defect on the improper installation of an intermediate steering
shaft yoke. The company says that less than 1% of the cars released are affected,
but they still encourage all Expedition users to have their cars inspected by
authorized Ford outlets. There have been three reports of accidents with two reports
of minor injuries owing to the said mechanical failure.
Yet another recall has been instituted by Ford for the 1997-2000 Expedition because
of the failure of the trailer hitch's bolts and nut loads to perform according
to its specified job. Because of this, the trailer hitch could come lose while
on travel. And this is obviously a great hazard especially to motorists in a busy
freeway. The defective parts will be replaced without any additional charge by
Ford recognized dealers
